At Everleafbooks, we want every book you purchase to meet your expectations. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we are here to help. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, exchanges, and refunds on all books purchased through everleafbooks.com.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth herein.
Return Window
You have thirty (30) calendar days from the date your order is delivered to initiate a return. Returns requested after this period will not be accepted.
Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges
To be eligible for a return or exchange, the following conditions must be met:
- The book must be in its original, unused condition
- The book must be free from writing, highlighting, dog-eared pages, or other marks
- The book must have no damage to the cover, spine, or pages
- The book must be returned in its original packaging, if applicable
Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused or subject to a partial refund at our discretion.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:
- Books showing signs of use, wear, or reading (wardrobing)
- Books with broken spines, water damage, or customer-inflicted damage
- Gift cards and promotional items
- Items marked as “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable” at the time of purchase
- Digital products or downloadable content
How to Initiate a Return
Please do not send any items back without first contacting us. All returns require prior authorization.
Step 1: Email our Customer Support team at contact@everleafbooks.com with the following information:
- Your order number
- The title(s) of the book(s) you wish to return
- Reason for the return
Step 2: Our team will review your request within one (1) business day and respond with a Return Authorization and detailed return instructions, including the return shipping address.
Step 3: Pack the book securely to prevent damage during transit. We recommend using the original packaging if available.
Step 4: Ship the book using a trackable shipping method and retain your tracking number until the return is processed.
Return Method
All returns must be sent via mail to the address provided in your Return Authorization. We do not offer in-person returns or drop-off locations. Returns sent without prior authorization or to an incorrect address may be refused or delayed.
Reason for Return
When initiating a return, please indicate your reason from the following:
- Ordered wrong item
- Item does not match description
- Changed my mind
- Received duplicate order
- Book arrived damaged
- Book is defective (misprinted, missing pages)
- Other (please specify)
Providing a clear reason helps us process your return faster and improve our service.
Condition of Returned Items
Upon receipt, all returned books are inspected to verify they meet our return conditions. If a book is returned in a condition that does not meet the eligibility requirements, we reserve the right to:
- Refuse the return and ship the book back to you at your expense
- Issue a partial refund based on the book’s condition
Return Shipping Costs
Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: If your book arrives damaged, defective, or you received the wrong item, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse your return shipping costs. You will not be charged for return shipping in these cases.
Change of Mind or Customer Error: If you are returning a book because you changed your mind, ordered the wrong title, or no longer want it, you are responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of items sent without tracking.
Restocking Fee
Restocking Fee: $0
We do not charge any restocking fees for returns. You will receive a full refund for the price of the book, provided it meets our return conditions.
Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email regarding the status of your refund.
Approved Refunds: If approved, your refund will be processed immediately and a credit will be applied to your original payment method within three (3) to five (5) business days.
Refund Amount: Refunds include the full purchase price of the returned book(s). Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong item, defective, or damaged).
Payment Method: All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. We cannot issue refunds to a different card or account.
Damaged or Defective Products
If your book arrives damaged or defective (misprinted pages, missing pages, incorrect binding, or manufacturing defects), please contact us within seventy-two (72) hours of delivery.
To expedite resolution, please provide:
- Your order number
- Clear photographs showing the damage or defect
- Brief description of the issue
Upon verification, we will offer you a choice of:
- A replacement book shipped at no additional cost
- A full refund to your original payment method
You may be asked to return the damaged item or, in some cases, we may issue a refund without requiring the return.
Exchange Policy
We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different book, please follow the return process outlined above to return your original purchase for a refund, then place a new order for the desired item.
This process ensures accurate inventory management and faster processing for your new order.
Order Changes and Cancellations
Cancellation Window: You may cancel or modify your order within twelve (12) hours of placing it. Contact us immediately at contact@everleafbooks.com with your order number and request.
After 12 Hours: Once an order has been transferred to our fulfillment center, it can no longer be cancelled or modified. In this case, you may refuse delivery upon arrival or return the order once received following our standard return process.
Cancellation Refunds: Cancelled orders will receive a full refund to the original payment method within three (3) to five (5) business days.
Refused and Undeliverable Packages
If you refuse delivery of a package or if a package is returned as undeliverable due to an incorrect or incomplete address:
- The cost of the book(s) will be refunded to your original payment method
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Any return shipping costs incurred will be deducted from your refund
Please ensure your shipping address is accurate and complete before placing your order.
Lost, Stolen, or “Delivered” but Not Received
If your tracking information shows “Delivered” but you have not received your package:
Step 1: Verify the delivery address on your order confirmation
Step 2: Check with other household members or neighbors
Step 3: Look in alternate delivery locations (porch, garage, mailroom, side door)
Step 4: Contact FedEx directly to inquire about the delivery
If the package cannot be located after completing these steps, contact our Customer Support team. We will open an investigation with the carrier. Investigation resolution typically takes five (5) to seven (7) business days.
Upon confirmation of loss, we will offer a replacement shipment or full refund at your choice.
