Our Commitment to You
At Everleaf Books, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. We are a small, independent bookseller, and we stand by the quality of our curated collection. If you are not satisfied, you may return eligible items within 30 days of delivery.
1. Return Time Window
You have 30 calendar days from the date your order is marked as “Delivered” to initiate a return.
2. How to Return an Item

Step 1: Please email us first at contact@everleafbooks.com with your Order Number and the Reason for Return (e.g., damaged, changed mind, etc.).

Step 2: Once your return is approved, please securely package the item and send it back to our business address:

(This is our real, physical business address. Unlike dropshippers, we process all returns in-house.)
3. Condition of Returned Items
To be eligible for a full refund, items must be returned in their original, new condition.

For books, this means unread, unused, with no bent pages, writing, or damage.

Items must be in their original packaging (if any).

5. Return Shipping Costs

A. For Customer Choice (e.g., changed mind, ordered by mistake): If you are returning an item for personal reasons, you (the customer) will be responsible for paying your own return shipping costs.

For Damaged or Defective Products (Our Error): If you receive a book that is damaged, defective, or if we sent you the wrong item, please contact us immediately (within 7 days) with a photo of the issue. In these cases, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label (via USPS) or issue a full refund/replacement.
6. Return Method
For your protection, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method (like USPS with tracking) for your return. We are not responsible for returned items that are lost in transit on their way back to us.
7. Refund Processing Time
Once your return is received and inspected by our team at our San Jose location (typically within 1-3 business days of receipt), we will send you an email to notify you of the approval of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3-5 business days. Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to officially post the refund to your account.
8. Restocking Fee
We believe in simple, honest service. We do NOT charge any restocking fees on returns.
9. Exchange Policy
As a small, in-stock retailer, we do not offer direct exchanges.
The fastest and easiest way to get the item you want is to return the original item for a full refund (per the steps above) and place a new, separate order for the correct book.
10. Order Changes & Cancellations
You may request to change or cancel your order within 12 hours of placement. Please email contact@everleafbooks.com immediately.
After 12 hours, your order is likely already being processed by our team for shipment and can no longer be canceled.
11. Refused or Undeliverable Packages
Packages that are “Refused” by the recipient, or returned to us by USPS as “Undeliverable” (due to an incorrect address provided by you), will be treated as a return. You will be refunded for the product price, minus the original shipping fee.
12. Lost, Stolen, or “Delivered” but Not Received
We are responsible for your order until it is marked as “Delivered” by the USPS tracking.
We are not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen from your property after the carrier has confirmed delivery. If you believe your package was mis-delivered, please contact USPS directly.
