1. Our Shipping Philosophy: Handled With Care

At Everleaf Books, we are a small, independent bookseller. We are not a dropshipper. All books are personally inspected, packed, and shipped by our team directly from our location in San Jose, California.

2. Order Processing & Cut-Off Time

  • Order Cut-Off Time: Our daily order cut-off time is 6:00 PM Pacific Time (PT), Monday – Friday. Orders placed after 6:00 PM PT, or on weekends/holidays, will be considered received on the next business day.

  • Order Processing Time (Handling Time): Please allow 2-4 business days for our team to carefully process and package your order.

  • Business Days: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT), excluding US Federal Holidays.

3. Shipping Carrier & Delivery Estimates

  • Shipping Carrier: To provide reliable and affordable service, we ship all orders via USPS (United States Postal Service). We typically utilize USPS Media Mail service for book shipments, which helps keep costs low.

Total Estimated Delivery Time = Processing Time + Shipping Time.

  • Contiguous U.S. (48 States):

    • Estimated Shipping Time (Transit): 5–10 business days

    • Total Estimated Delivery Time: 7–14 business days

  • Alaska & Hawaii:

    • Estimated Shipping Time (Transit): 10–20 business days

    • Total Estimated Delivery Time: 12–24 business days

  • APO/FPO/DPO Military Addresses:

    • Estimated Shipping Time (Transit): 15–30 business days

    • Total Estimated Delivery Time: 17–34 business days

(Please note: These are estimates. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, such as weather, distance, customs processing for military mail, or holiday backlogs, as these are outside our control.)

4. Shipping Rates

We keep our shipping simple and transparent. These rates apply to all destinations within our shipping area, including Alaska, Hawaii, and APO/FPO addresses.

  • Orders over $199.00: FREE Standard Shipping

  • Orders under $199.00: $7.99 Flat Rate Shipping Fee

This $7.99 fee covers all shipping and handling. There are no hidden fees.

5. Shipping Area & Restrictions

  • Shipping Area: We currently ship to all 50 states within the United States.

  • P.O. Boxes and Military Addresses: Yes! Because we use USPS, we are happy to ship to P.O. Boxes and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses.

6. Sales Tax (Important)

In compliance with United States tax law, we are required to collect sales tax. Applicable sales tax will be calculated automatically and displayed clearly at checkout based on your specific shipping address.

7. Order Tracking

Once your order leaves our San Jose facility, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your USPS tracking number. Please allow 24 hours for tracking information to become active.

8. Address Changes & Accuracy

The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. If you need to make a change, please email us immediately at contact@everleafbooks.com.

We cannot guarantee changes if the order has already been processed. We are not responsible for orders lost or returned due to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

9. Out-of-Stock Items

We are an in-stock retailer, but in the rare event an item is found to be damaged or there is an inventory error, we will contact you immediately via email with the option to wait or receive a full refund for that item.

10. Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Packages

  • Damaged or Lost (In Transit): If your book arrives damaged or is lost in transit by USPS, please contact us immediately so we can assist. All resolution for these issues is governed by our Refund and Returns Policy.

  • Stolen Packages (Delivered but Not Received): Once a package is marked as “Delivered” by USPS, Everleaf Books is not responsible for theft or loss after delivery confirmation. Please ensure your delivery location is secure. If your tracking shows “Delivered” but you cannot locate your package, we advise you to contact your local Post Office directly to investigate.
